is a complete reference - carrying the author, title, subject, abbreviated periodical
name, month and year, page number, and whether it is illustrated. Within each indexed
reference, the periodical name has been contracted to the forms shown below.

ANS Proceedings
The "Proceedings" served as an Annual Report and contained many papers,
with illustrations, presented by members at the Society's Annual Meeting. Some "Proceedings"
were incorporated into issues of the Society's "Journal".
Museum Notes
"The American Numismatic Society Museum Notes" (1945-1988) - a scholarly
journal containing articles on numismatic topics, was published annually. "Museum
Notes" was succeeded in 1989 by "The American Journal of Numismatics -
Second Series," which continues to be published annually as a scholarly journal
containing articles on numismatic topics.
American Journal of Numismatics - Second Series
The "American Journal of Numismatics - Second Series" is
the successor to "Museum Notes" (1945-1988), and continues as a scholarly
journal containing articles on numismatic topics. Published annually.
Coinage of the Americas Conference
"Coinage of the Americas Conference" is an annual program conducted at
the Society's New York City premises each year which focuses on a subject devoted
to the money of the Americas.
Numismatic Notes and Monographs
"Numismatic Notes and Monographs", published by ANS 1921-1968, consist
of separately issued numismatic studies - each on a specific topic.
Numismatic Studies
"Numismatic Studies" published periodically by the American
Numismatic Society, is a series for the printing of lengthy original studies, where
extended illustration is necessary or where large-flanned coins of considerable number
are involved, requiring a larger format than that used in the Numismatic Notes and
Monographs.
The Numismatist
"The Numismatist", a monthly publication, is received by all members of
the American Numismatic Association. Numismatic areas covered are many. It has articles
on coins and currency world-wide; announcements and news briefs; and columns about
coin authentication, the ANA's Money Museum, auctions, consumer concerns, and many
other subjects of interest to collectors.
Numismatic Scrapbook Magazine
"The Numismatic Scrapbook Magazine" was published 1935-1975.
The Copyright owner is COIN WORLD, publishers of a weekly numismatic tabloid newspaper.
Numismatic Review
The "Numismatic Review" was a periodical, published
by Stack's Numismatists from 1943 to 1947, which contained scholarly numismatic articles
written by prominent numismatists.
