This coin represents the second reverse hub and also the final year of issue for the Liberty head design within this denomination. First introduced in 1859, the second hub is quickly identified by much longer, more slender arrowheads. 154 Proof examples were struck in Philadelphia in 1907, with this example among the finest survivors. We estimate about 100 Proofs from this mintage remain in numismatic circulation.
