This reverse is instantly identified by the blundered M, widely recut to the right. Walter Breen recorded this variety as 1-C. This example is a late die state with rim breaks from the border joining the tops of NIT. Breen reported this rim break on all known examples. However, some exist without these rim breaks. This example is a lovely Mint-state specimen.
